Henry Porter

Henry Porter is the author of six novels - Remembrance Day , A Spy’s Life, Empire State, Brandenburg, The Dying Light and The Master of the Fallen Chairs (for young adults). He is a political columnist for the Observer and the London Editor of Vanity Fair Magazine (since 1993). He was the co-director of the Convention on Modern Liberty in 2009, a large civil liberties conference in London with over 100 speakers. He has served as Executive editor of the Independent on Sunday, editor of the Correspondent magazine and columnist for the Sunday Times. He lives in central London. His passions are painting, mountains and growing trees. He is currently working on a trilogy of political thrillers set in the near future in Britain, the first of which - The Dying Light - was published in 2009 in the UK and as the Bell Ringers in the United States in 2010
